BREAKING NEWS- Woolonian Traditionalist Rebels attack at Woolbridge bus station, Temporary Freedemian embassy in Woolport with synthetic bia-bia poison

WOOLBRIDGE, WOOL COUNTY, WOOLONIA – Within a month of a statement from President Ferdinand Sealy warning against complacency in the war with the Woolonian Traditionalist Rebels, two attacks occurred in Wool County that reminded the nation that they were still at war.

The Central Woolbridge Transit Center in Woolbridge and the Freedemian embassy in Woolport were stormed within hours of each other, poison darts flying. At the Freedemian embassy the perpetraters were immediately tranquilized and taken into custody. One ambassador was injured, but was only grazed by the dart and survived after being bused to a nearby hospital. Eight died at the scene at the Central Woolbridge Transit Center, 7 by poison darts and one who ran into traffic trying to get to safety.

The damage from the attacks was minimized by a newly established bia bia antidote that acts as fast as the poison (helping save the Freedemian ambassador), as well as the fact that it appeared the synthetic poison was not as potent as the natural poison from the bia bia plant.

Names of the victims have not yet been released. The nation of Woolonia, as well as ally Freedemia who has been targeted for their ties to Woolonia, are both on high alert.

President Sealy released a brief statement talking about the concerns of the WTR having synthetic poisons at their disposal and the fact that all Freedemians and Woolonians need to be ready for anything and never let their guards down. He also said that he had a very important announcement to make at a later time.

The attack with synthetic poisons marks another departure from the WTR’s normally strictly traditionalist means of warfare, which has many in Woolonia concerned that a larger attack could be imminent.

President Sealy warns against complacency in fight against Woolonian Traditionalist Rebels

PASTUREVILLE, PASTURE COUNTY, WOOLONIA– President Ferdinand Sealy of Woolonia was in Pastureville early this morning to give a speech about the current state of the Second Woolonian Civil War.

Pastureville had been one of the areas hit hardest at the start of the war. The Woolonian Traditionalist Rebels’ primary stronghold is the Pastureville Highlands, which is a large rural area outside of the city that includes the city of Sabara. Rebels had pushed in as far as the Pastureville City Limits before Woolonian forces successfully pushed back.

Things have been relatively quiet since Operation Firewolf back in October, when Woolonian forces and drones successfully took out every known stash of bia bia poison and bia bia plants in the nation, a poison that the Woolonian Traditionalist Rebels generally use as their primary weapon. As a whole, the war appears to have died down. There have been no attacks since Operation Firewolf, no statements have come from the WTR, and no further incidents have been noted, in Woolonia nor in ally Freedemia, whom the WTR also declared war on back in July. Some have even gone so far as to celebrate the “end” of the war. However, in his speech, President Sealy explicitly warned against complacency, and reminded the nation that the threat is just as real today as it was at the beginning of the war.

“By all standards and indications, we are still at war. Technically, our ally Freedemia is still under imminent threat of war. The minute that we become complacent, the second that we step back and say “Well, I guess we won!”, the very moment we let our guard down, is the moment they’ll attack.  This isn’t over!!! The Woolonian Traditionalist Rebels still have control of most of the Pastureville Highlands. Sabara is still a stronghold. Autoroute 56 is still closed. Government security is still at an all time high. And our ally Freedemia has still had war declared on them for the first time in history. Government officials and civilians have been killed. Freedemian politicians have had failed assassination attempts against them. We have not reached a resolution. We may have won this battle, but if we become complacent now and forget what’s at stake, we will lose this war.”

It has yet to be shown whether Woolonians will heed President Sealy’s message.

Freedemia issues “Statement of Defense” against WTR, Woolonian drones make first successful blow against Rebel forces

Freedemia issues more peaceful statement of defense after considering declaring war, other options

QUENTINSBURGH- Early Monday morning, Freedemia issued a “statement of defense” against the Woolonian Traditionalist Rebels after a long period of deliberation on how to respond to the WTR’s recent declaration of war.

President Angela Rosenthal explained that the declaration was a pacifist alternative to a declaration of war, while also making provision for defense. “This statement of defense makes two things clear, that Freedemia will protect itself however necessary against ANY and ALL attacks from the WTR or anyone else, and that we will stay true to our values and will never initiate any attacks or conflicts by offensive military action.”

Operation Dropwolf successful, major WTR stronghold overthrown with minimal losses

PASTUREVILLE- Woolonian forces struck a large blow against the Woolonian Traditionalist Rebels over the weekend. Operation Dropwolf was a huge success, with drone strikes taking out the largest known rebel stronghold near Sabara and some troops going in to regain control.

“We took out an entire stronghold with minimal losses,” President Ferdinand Sealy said to a chorus of cheering. “We have crippled the strongest part of the WTR network with less than twenty injured, ten enemy deaths, no losses, and most amazing of all,  NO CIVILIAN DEATHS! That’s almost unheard of for an operation this big!!”

While Woolonia is not necessarily a pacifist society, they, like Freedemia, strongly value the sanctity of human life, and even in military operations attempt to minimize loss of life on all sides. Approximately 64 WTR Rebels were taken prisoner, with several willing to talk to the Woolonian government. It appears about four others got away.

“If we can keep this progress going, our nation could be back at peace by November!!” Sealy exclaimed in excitement when asked about what this meant for the Second Woolonian Civil War.

President Sealy did ask that the nation pause in a moment of silence for the enemy lives lost during the operation. “However misled, these men and woman were our brothers and sisters.”

Freedemia in crisis in wake of WTR’s declaration of war

QUENTINSBURGH- After yesterday’s declaration of war on Freedemia by the Woolonian Traditionalist Rebels, the people of Freedemia have been in an unusual state of crisis and unrest, with little knowledge of what this means for the country.

Earlier today, President Angela Rosenthal declared a state of national emergency, while explaining that she and the legislature were still trying to decide how to best respond to the declaration.

“While we try to figure out how to best respond to this, I’m declaring this a state of national emergency. However, stay calm. There is no need to be alarmed. At this moment there is no imminent threat to our nation. We need to stand together and trust God to work this situation out. The best thing you can do right now is stay calm and pray.” Rosenthal appeared visibly shaken, but seemed to be trying to help the rest of the nation stay calm.

Despite extreme concerns by many in the pacifist society, many believe there is really no reason to fear.

“The good thing in this situation is that this is not a large superpower declaring war on us. This is simply a rebel force with practically no presence in our nation. The damage they can do to Freedemia is minimal,” PWN military analyst Samuel Pender told PWN Evening News.

Nonetheless, many fear that this marks a shift in the country’s pacifist history and culture.
“I don’t blame Woolonia, nor do I blame President Rosenthal,” one mother from Quentinsburgh told us. “But my concern is that if we don’t respond properly, this could be the first blemish on our country’s dedication to pacifism. But at the same time, we can’t put anyone at risk by not acting… I don’t know what we’re supposed to do. We’re between a rock and a hard place…”

“For the first time in my life, I may actually go from being ‘reserves’ to ‘combat’,” one man stationed at Fort Franklin Military Base stated. “I just hope we stick to defensive duty and aren’t forced to deploy any units. Maybe an air strike would be the most effective, but I still don’t like the idea of resorting to that to solve this…”

Woolonia, on the other hand, seems to have an intricate plan involving air strikes, limited ground forces and an increased intelligence network. However, perhaps wisely, they haven’t publicly released any details.

“While we want to be transparent, we can’t risk giving away too much information about our tactics,” President Ferdinand Sealy explained in a recent (but very brief) press conference.

BREAKING NEWS- Woolonian Traditionalist Rebels declare war on Woolonia, Freedemia for supporting Woolonian Government

BREAKING NEWS- PASTUREVILLE– At 12:13pm Freedemian Standard Time today, the Woolonian Traditionalist Rebels released a statement declaring war on the Woolonian government and the Freedemian government or their support of Woolonia.

“To the Woolonian Government- We gave you plenty of warning. You had ample opportunity to meet our demands peacefully. You chose to declare war. War it will be. The cause of traditionalism will victorious over your modern society. And to the government of Freedemia- you have been the largest supporters of the traitorous Woolonian establishment since the first civil war. You had freedom to choose either side. You choose wrong. You are as much of a threat to our traditionalist lifestyles as the Woolonian government. You will also regret your choices in this matter. Take this as a declaration of war, on the Woolonian establishment, its Freedemian support, and other allies of the traitorous government you hold so dear.”

The WTR did not say any specifics about the unnamed “other allies”.

For the pacifist nation of Freedemia, this is the first time war has ever been declared on them. President Angela Rosenthal, while attempting to stay calm, called the news a “national crisis” and the Freedemian National Legislature will convene this evening in an emergency session and time of prayer. It is unclear at this time how Freedemia plans to respond to the declaration of war.

Woolonian President Ferdinand Sealy said he is prepared for anything that they throw at Woolonia and were expecting actions along those lines. However, he expressed extreme sadness that his Freedemian allies were drawn into the situation.

“I want the WTR to understand that Woolonia is not scared of them. We are ready. And we will win. But I also want them to understand that Freedemia and their leaders don’t deserve to be brought into this. When they allied with us, they did so for the overall best interest of all Woolonians. Leave them out of this.”

President Sealy, Woolonia, declare war on Traditionalist Rebels after recent attacks

WOOLPORT- After another failed smaller attack by the Woolonian Traditionalist Rebels in Woolport yesterday and in response to the recent attacks President Ferdinand Sealy officially declared war on the rebels, effectively starting the Second Woolonian Civil War. General Reynolds Jackson-Hermett, head of the newly formed Woolonian Intelligence Task Force, was given full authority to be the head of military actions after Sealy’s previous personal efforts failed.

“When they went beyond armed resistance to attacking our leaders and those of our allies, they crossed a line. But when they went from attacking our government to attacking our civilians, we were forced to act. Today, the Woolonian Collective reluctantly, but firmly, declares war on the Woolonian Traditionalist Rebels and Sheep in Wolves’ Clothing.”

“I personally am not a military expert, and understanding such, I am surrendering the military leadership role to General Reynolds Jackson-Hermett. I have full trust in General Jackson-Hermett to most effectively and soundly defeat the WTR. Under him and his task force, in just these past weeks, we have collected valuable intelligence information to properly know how to act to defeat the WTR while minimizing our losses. I am confident in his ability and strategy, and I wouldn’t want anyone else in charge.”

“In every situation, our first priorities are still the security of our nation and the safety of the Woolonian people. Together, we will stamp out the wolves that threaten our sheep.”

President Sealy declined to answer any questions at that time, and did not address recent calls for his resignation.

Woolonian Rebel Attack in Ewes; explosions destroy part of Cross Ewes Expressway/Alpacatown Freeway, poison dart attack in nearby subway station

BREAKING NEWS- EWES, WOOLPORT- An attack significantly larger than the roadblock explosion in Pastureville earlier this week and the most high scale attack since the May attack killing five high ranking government officials and a reporter occurred tonight. A multifaceted attack occurred in southern Ewes earlier tonight, with explosions taking out a major bridge on the Alpacatown Expressway that collapsed onto the Cross Ewes Expressway and a bia bia poison dart attack in the nearby Woolhaven subway station. The borough of Ewes is on high alert, and the metro system, motorway A-1 and large sections of A-8 and 8B are all shut down until further notice.

An estimated 23 people died at the scene of the bridge collapse, most of which were on the bridge when it collapsed, while a couple died from getting crushed by falling cars and debris. About 8 people died in the poison dart shooting in the Woolhaven subway station. The men and woman responsible for the subway attack were apprehended shortly after the attack; however those responsible for the bridge explosion are still at large.

The portion of expressway that was blown up was actually a major exit connecting Highway 8B with the Alpacatown Expressway/A-8. The actual Alpacatown Expressway at that point goes through a tunnel, which was not damaged. However, the tunnel has been shut down out of concern that other explosives could be in the tunnel. Squads are checking at this moment to check the safety of the tunnel. The Cross Ewes Expressway is completely blocked at the junction, and is closed in all directions for a large distance.

President Ferdinand Sealy and Woolport Mayor Michael Segaset spoke together to the city shortly after at a press conference in downtown Ewes.

“Tonight, the Woolonian Traditionalist Rebels staged the largest attack on civilians since the Woolonian Civil War. They have crossed a line. It is one thing to attack a government. It is another to attack completely innocent individuals. This did not reflect the goals of the WTR, claiming that their only anger was against the modern Woolonian government. They’ve gone too far.”

Shortly after, a statement from the WTR came saying “Mr. uneducated Sealy. We were not the planners nor perpetrators of this attack. We would have targeted something or someone closer related to the Woolonian government, as you said. This was done by our allies, Sheep in Wolves’ Clothing, who tend to be… less…patient and understanding than us. However, the time had come for action on our end. Perhaps now you will take us and our purpose more seriously.”

Current information does back up that assertion. While the attacks in Pastureville were clearly done by the WTR and the attack killing Gerald Astern and others in May were as well, the attacks in Freedemia and tonight’s attack appear to have been the work of Sheep in Wolves’ Clothing. This, however, is the first time evidence shows the group’s are working together.
