Magnitude 7.4 earthquake hits Zerephine City area, Mount Edohanesse eruption imminent

BREAKING NEWS – Zerephine City (Sakura News Center, EYIN-TV) – Residents in Zerephine City in Belphenia woke up to a powerful jolt Thursday morning at 2:09am Zerephine Summer Time (2:39am EBST), it was a strong earthquake rattled the Zerephine City Metropolitan Area overnight.

There were reports of power outages, and damage to small buildings and injuries in the Zerephine City area and surrounding suburbs according to Mermaid Tail and local authorities. In the city of Edohanesse, there were reports of an explosion from a nearby underground gas main that local residents were ordered to evacuate the area. In downtown Zerephine City, tall buildings and skyscrapers swayed 45 miles southwest from the quake’s epicenter.

The Belphenia Geological Agency said the tremor was a magnitude 7.4 and its epicenter was located three miles south of Nerespell, Zerephine Prefecture, in the state of Shirahoshi. The agency also said that Mount Edohanesse in northwestern New Eriwynne may likely to erupt.

Zerie Ellenal, Mermaid Tail’s guild master, declared a state of emergency for the entire Zerephine City Metropolitan Area and ordered an evacuation for the entire city as a precaution. But local law enforcement agencies in Drevet and Nefertiri and other towns surrounding the volcano feared that the eruption of Mount Edohanesse is imminent, they ordered residents to evacuate immediately.

Naoko Takashima, a geologist from the Belphenia Geological Agency, said that the tremor was also felt in Erzanna Prefecture and the states of Sakura, the Seralia Division, and the Scarlet Heart Division.

Volkman-era highway interchanges being demolished across Lornesse

Winterlyn City (Angel News Channel, Sakura News Center) – As temperatures are getting warmer in the Winterlyn Mountain Range, the government of the state of Winterlyn launched a long-term highway interchange reconstruction project on all Interstate Highways and National Routes across the prefecture of Lornesse, signaling that the construction season has begun.

According to local news outlets in Winterlyn City, the Lornesse prefecture government and the Lornesse Department of Transportation (LORDOT) studied the traffic volume and roadway design involving Volkman-era highway interchanges between the Clear Heart and the current Moka periods, that in the current period, the Volkman-era interchanges are pushed to the limit, to the point the highway interchanges cannot handle anymore strain from increasing traffic volume. In a statement by LORDOT’s president, Nimi Hirochi, said “the Volkman-era highway interchanges are not just cannot handle a lot of traffic along interstate highways, the overpasses and the gray asphalt pavement are starting to deteriorate, even those that are retrofitted or rehabilitated, they became ‘structurally deficient’. We have concluded that the traffic volume on those Volkman-era interchanges keeps increasing, the highway interchanges will start failing.”

Hirochi also said that since the Moka period began, an overpass at exit 59 on Yusaka Toll Road collapsed during a 6.1 earthquake in March. In April, chunks of concrete fell from an overpass near the Benisaro Rest Area resulting in one person seriously injured and two cars were damaged along Interstate 72 (B 72) between Winterlyn City and Yusaka Toll Road. On May 12, asphalt pavement deterioration and formation of potholes appeared at exit 140 near Gasagi Road in Celiniel. In response to Lornesse’s roadway design problems, the Belphenia Department of Transportation designed new highway interchange designs including better roadway designs, pavement design, and stronger overpasses for LORDOT.

Construction projects on the highway interchanges started in early 2016 with the demolition of all Volkman-era highway interchanges in phases. The new highway interchange designs will replace the old interchanges along Lornesse highways and will come with new and improved roadway designs, wider on-and-off ramps, new overpasses, street lights, guardrails, reflective road signs, traffic cameras, and new pavement markings.

“We are urging people to obey posted speed limits, traffic signs, and pavement markings along highways in active work zones, avoid using cell phones or other distractions while driving, and expect delays when you are traveling to your destination. Speed limits will be set to 45 mph and are strictly enforced in active work zones, and will be photo enforced. We are enforcing the speed zones so motorists can get to their destination alive and safely upon arrival, and to increase safety among other drivers, passengers, construction workers, police, and everyone.” Yuki Hirojima of the Winterlyn State Police said.

Lornesse will be the 24th prefecture to demolish all Volkman-era interchanges along Interstate Highways. The construction projects on the new interchanges are expected to be completed sometime in 2017.

Controversial Belphenian pop singer apologizes to warriors, families of victims of the Battle of Shirahoshi for “The Resurgence of a Fateful Day”

Jellal (Belphenia State Television, Angel News Channel, News 9 Erzaleria) – Araki Isono, the controversial Belphenian pop singer who sang the “Resurgence of a Fateful Day” that offended warriors, families, and victims of the Battle of Shirahoshi, apologized on state media Thursday and deleted the controversial music video off the radio and the Internet.

“Please let me to apologize to the public as I write this letter. As you all aware, since February 2016, “The Resurgence of a Fateful Day” have offended many samurai, pirates, and the people of Belphenia. After I found out that the song was offensive, I was deeply saddened. I want to apologize to the people that I am very sorry I made you all feel offended, and I didn’t mean to create a music video and song about the scene where Saenna sees a pirate, or samurai hugging a Volkman supporter beside the Shirahoshi River in Hinahi. I had to delete the music video off from social media, and called the record companies to destroy all physical copies, and delete all digital content of the controversial song. I want to show more respect to the veterans and families of victims of the Battle of Shirahoshi by not creating a song that offended them. Please forgive me…”, Isono apologized on social media and she broke down to tears while visiting her cousins in Jellal, Icebarrow.

On Tuesday, May 3, 2016, the samurai in Icebarrow took the protests to the streets of Jellal demanding Isono to apologize to the Battle of Shirahoshi warriors and families for portraying a fictional girl named Saenna and singing the offensive lyrics in the music video. In Shovelmage Prefecture, residents wants “The Resurgence of a Fateful Day” to be pulled from Belphenian airwaves.

The song and music video was banned in Maydien for “promoting grave disrespect to the Belphenian factions, in which the warriors are samurai and pirates who liberated the theocratic and strong nation from the scourges of Sasuke Volkman”, said Princess Gertrude of Maydien on social media on May 3, 2016. “We wish Araki Isono should now consider apologizing to the veterans, families, and victims of the Battle of Shirahoshi and have the record companies to pull the controversial song of from all Belphenian airwaves”, she added.

On May 10, 2016, protesters at EWGN-FM and ENMI-FM in Erzaleria turned violent after residents complained about the controversial song being played on the two stations at the same time in Nami. Some protesters blocked Trafalgar Road and Trans-Erzaleria Road 157, demanding Isono to apologize to the public, according to News 9 Erzaleria. Jonathan Dolie, a radio station host at ENMI-FM, said on the radio that “the Resurgence of a Fateful Day should be pulled from airwaves, and we are sorry for the offensive song we played earlier.”

The media regulation agencies in Belphenia, Erzaleria, and Maydien are working on preventative measures to help the music industry to avoid using such offensive content involving content depicting Sasuke Volkman and his regime in music videos and tracks in both physical and digital copies in the music industry. The samurai and pirates, and families of victims of the Battle of Shirahoshi are planning to forgive Isono and her record companies in Belphenia for their wrongdoings.

Belphenia remembers 5th anniversary of the Battle of Shirahoshi

Jasmine City, Jasmine Prefecture (Belphenia State Television, Sakura News Center, Angel News Channel) – With Reiko Beard, First Leader of Belphenia and Prime Minister Erza Beard, Luisa Drain and her family, and the samurai and the Guilds of Belphenia used the horagai beside National Route 73 (The Battle of Shirahoshi Warriors Memorial Highway, BR 73) and bowed their heads during the moment of silence as Belphenia marks the fifth anniversary of the Battle of Shirahoshi, the historic war against supporters of the nation’s late dictator, Sasuke Volkman on Wednesday at 6:56am local time, the moment the first stage of the war began.

In Remiville, Deputy Prime Minister Masahide Shiroma gave a speech at the Ryushime Samurai District to the Knights of the Eraede and the Sword of the Neredgers, and many local guilds and factions. Sakura Kurmochi also gave a 70-minute speech honoring the warriors who are still living to this day, and to honor those who sacrificed or lost their lives in the Battle of Shirahoshi to redeem Belphenia from the Volkman regime.

At 6:56am, the Sapphire Swan Flag was raised at half-mast in the city of Hinahi, Edaleria at an area where the main war began. Shortly after 7:00am local time, the memorial ceremonies began, attended by the samurai, pirates, the Guilds of Belphenia, the Government of Belphenia, and the governing body of Great Heart.

On May 11, 2016, the theocratic, and determined nation looked to the future during the current Moka period while remembering the past.

Recruiting the Guilds of Belphenia

Five years ago after the events of the April 5th massacre in Remiville and the works of the Liberate Belphenia Guild that led to the dethronement of Sasuke Volkman, the Volkman regime weakened suddenly when many Belphenians learned the truth about the dictator’s cult of personality and his war crimes through radio broadcasts and on the then state media-Belphenia Central News Authority. When the old government lost control of ruling Belphenia, Belphenia was restored to democracy.

Between April 20th and May 1st, 2011, the Knights of the Eraede, the Sword of the Neredgers, and the Drain Family were concerned about the remaining Volkman supporters may likely regain control of Belphenia under another dictatorship. In Zerish, South Belphenia (now Erzanna Prefecture), samurai Becky Dearden formed the Burning Horizon Guild on April 27 to create the new Belphenian government that will become the Clear Heart period’s Government of Belphenia. The samurai from the Greridia shogunate warned Dearden that her attempts to form the new Belphenian government would likely be impossible to establish due to remnants of the Volkman regime still ruling most parts of Belphenia.

On April 30, samurai Hajime and Luisa Drain formed the Zerephine Clan to bring the remnants of the Volkman regime down, and used email services to recruit the samurai and pirates across Belphenia without being seen by Volkman’s supporters. In the Jasmine Mountains, the Drain Family recruited more samurai to the area, but it was not enough for Luisa Drain to accomplish and she became the faction’s new leader. When Volkman’s forces left Calumet City, Sutton Province (now Heartfilia Prefecture) for Sutton City (now Zerephine City), she and the Guilds of Belphenia plotted invasions, raids, and seizures in cities where the still-active Volkman regime govern. She wrote this on a piece of paper just in case if Sasuke Volkman finds the paper saying: “Sasuke Volkman, the People’s Republic of Belphenia has had enough of you. Leave this country and never come back.”

On May 1, the Drain Family recruited Belphenia’s most strongest guilds: The Knights of the Eraede, and the Sword of the Neredgers, from Northwest Belphenia. The total amount of recruited samurai has risen to 510, and on May 5, it rose to 14,022 on the day when Sasuke Volkman was expelled (and excommunicated) from Great Heart, then 21,396, and finally, 45,882. Luke Drain, an Erzanna samurai, approached to the Drain Family and provided assistance in gathering swords, supplies, clothing, and motor vehicles for the samurai and the Guilds of Belphenia. On the early morning of May 11, 826 pirates from the Glesa region were recruited.

Two years that changed Belphenia

At 6:56am local time, the first stage of the war began when the samurai invaded the Volkman Gardens in Horizon City and overthrew the local Volkman regime. The first battle took place at Sasuke Volkman’s residence where 233 Volkman supporters were executed, but 198 samurai were killed in the process. One pirate, Hiro Rokanima, renamed Horizon City to Calumet City, telling the Volkman supporters that a new government will now rule the city and Belphenia under theocracy. Between June and December 2011, the second stage took place with pirates helping the samurai take back many villages including Nihonia along the Shirahoshi River and killed 924 Volkman supporters. But the war took the life of Eriko Enoki, the late Sword of the Neredgers’ guild master on January 7, 2012. The third stage followed when Volkman’s military forces tried to invade the city of Zeref. Local factions quickly executed 106 Volkman supporters and seized 70 military tanks, 14 trucks, four vans, two buses, and one car. On March 15, 2012, the village of Hinahi became the epicenter of the main battle where 32,436 Volkman supporters and 29,998 samurai and pirates were killed, that the Drain Family had to recruit 25,000 more samurai when they learned the fate of those factions killed in that stage.

In the fourth stage of the war, pirates near the Mirasako-kawa Wilderness took down 21 Volkman-controlled military bases using cannons equipped on their ships, killing 1,055 Volkman soldiers. In Ackerman, access to the Port of Sutton City (now Port of Zerephine) and the mouth of the Shirahoshi River in South Belphenia Province (now Xanthe Prefecture) were blocked. In the final stage of the war, samurai Sakura Kurmochi defeated all 65 members of the entire Edeiwyn Clan, and became the first Belphenian samurai ever to defeat the most dangerous pirate, Sumi Kuroda, on July 23, 2013 in Zerish. On July 30, 2013, Kurmochi executed the last Volkman supporter who ruled over the city of Akashiya, Lisa Nitamori. After the war ended, the samurai and the Guilds of Belphenia became victorious. The final death toll from the Battle of Shirahoshi were 32,581 dead including the samurai, pirates, police, firefighters, and paramedics. 98,239 people were injured, 303 missing, 199 were rescued, and 55 were unaccounted for. The war resulted in 377,244,095 Moka Pieces in damages.

Belphenia today

In the current post-Volkman period, freedom was restored since the dethronement of Sasuke Volkman on April 19, 2011. Furthermore, there were many changes in the Laws of Belphenia that includes a strict law on naming weapons of any form, including swords, armor, and firearms to have names, and sword-naming ceremonies conducted by Great Heart became mandatory for everyone living in Belphenia. Future leaders engaging to rule over Belphenia under dictatorships were outlawed, airport security was tightened by the Belphenia Imperial Guard Corps and the Homeland Security Guild, and all government, guild and samurai premises are now monitored by guards and law enforcement.

Since July 2011, Belphenia’s traffic laws changed when traffic now primarily drives on the left, and in special cities, traffic now drives on the right. In October 2013, provinces on the political map became prefectures and were renamed by the Guilds of Belphenia.

In December 2015, the Sapphire Swan Flag was retired as Belphenia’s official national flag and was replaced by the current Endless Wind Flag for the Moka Period. In addition, the government appoints the nation’s first Deputy Prime Minister, Masahide Shiroma.

In May 2016, the culture of the samurai prospered since the Arata Heart period. That evolved to the current Tadashinori Culture during Reiko Beard’s reign in the Moka period, and prospered after more than 500 years since the Sarashimari Culture.

Former Bluesage leader Gordon Itani rules Bluesage Prefecture again, launches long-term tourism expansion project

Varella (Belphenia State Television, Angel News Channel) – Gordon Itani, the former Fisher’s Gate guild master and leader of Bluesage Prefecture who tried to get the Government of Belphenia to overturn the theocratic nation’s ban on the Siikesilla, was ordered by Great Heart’s governing body to rule the country’s southernmost prefecture of Bluesage in the state of Seralia Division again until his death under the Constitution of the Theocratic People’s Kingdom of Belphenia. Effective immediately, Itani must return to Varella as Bluesage leader and Fisher’s Gate guild master within 24 hours or risk expulsion from Great Heart.

Saitoko Haiki, a Shikashime of the governing body of Great Heart, said that the actions of Itani resigning as Bluesage leader over the attempted abolishment of the Siikesilla ban in September 2015 before his death violated the Constitution laws of the Theocratic People’s Kingdom of Belphenia, Great Heart’s shirarume laws, and the “golden rules” policy on ruling the theocratic nation.

“Itani must return to Varella by order of the governing body of Great Heart and the Government of Belphenia to rule the southernmost prefecture of Bluesage as the Leader of Bluesage, and must comply with the laws of Belphenia and the laws of Great Heart. Failure to comply with the government and Great Heart will result in Itani to expulsion from the state religion as shirarume.” Naomi Edeleria, a Shikashime of Great Heart warned the former Bluesage leader at the High Court of Seralia Division in Seralia City.

“Under Belphenia’s strict laws on ruling the prefecture and Great Heart’s governing body’s religious concerns, Itani must rule Bluesage once again within 24 hours until his death. Failure to cooperate with Great Heart and the Government of Belphenia will result in expulsion from the nation’s state religion.” Eliari Shiraishi, the Seralia Division state leader said. She also gave Itani a warning that “if he resigns before his death or by other serious means again, he will face the consequences when he will face expulsion from Great Heart as shirarume.”

Within six hours, Gordon Itani apologized to the Belphenian government, Great Heart’s governing body, and the Seralia Division State Government for his actions in September and October 2015, and was forgiven by them and many Bluesagers and the Seraliani. He eventually went back to Varella from Tsugumi Beach in Seraphina Prefecture to regain control of Bluesage as leader and guild master again.

“From now on, as a pirate, I will lead Bluesage again. And this time, I have learned my lessons about my mistakes in the past, including my resignation as Bluesage leader and guild master of Fisher’s Gate. I will take the oath once again that I will promise to Great Heart that I will launch new tourism expansion project instead, and never try to abolish Belphenia’s Siikesilla ban, and after I learned what our late First Leader Elena Heartfilia wrote about giving up ruling Belphenia before death in the past… I will never again resign as Bluesage leader before my death. And today, I am back as a stronger person, because I do not want the Prime Minister of Belphenia to call me weak. I will not regret it… I look forward. Bluesage serves as the Frontier of the Sound of Sunda, and we will accomplish by means of looking ahead to what’s in store for the southernmost prefecture in the nation.” Itani said when he gave his address from the Bluesage Prefecture Office in Varella.

Itani will also launch a long-term, tourism expansion project across Bluesage starting on April 20. The expansion of tourism will bring economic benefits to Bluesage Prefecture and will be completed in May or June 2019.

A half-decade later, Belphenia pauses to remember April 5 massacre

Remiville (Belphenia State Television, Sakura News Center, Earthland News Now, Angel News Channel, BNN News 24) – In the Belphenian state of Sakura, those whose lives were lost in the massacre are remembered in the Belphenian capital of Remiville.

The theocratic nation marked the 5th year anniversary of the April 5 massacre when Sasuke Volkman sent his comrades including Heidi Law and Aiden Tremont, and the terrorist organization Destructive Prime to attempt to assassinate Reiko Beard and Ilani Nakashima in a series of terrorist attacks in the capital city and across Belphenia over the exposure of the late dictator’s cult of personality and human rights abuses that resulted in the massacre took the lives of 160 victims, 288 were injured, 240,000 were sent to Commonia as slave victims, and the Destructive Prime faction launched terror attacks, a series of territorial disputes, political conflicts, and economic collapse in a six-hour long tragic day that rocked the nation as an isolated, secretive state and triggered the overthrow of the late dictator’s regime and the first stage of the Battle of Shirahoshi in 2011.

In Remiville, Sakura Prefecture, a traditional roll call of the names of the 160 victims began at 9:41am (10:11am Seralia-Zerephine Summer Time, 10:31am East Belphenia Summer Time) at the Volkman Period Memorial near Olympia. The roll call readers included journals about the victims’ wishes of living in Belphenia in freedom, truth, and peace, and one victim, Aoi Murakani wanted to become a samurai and a shikashime of Great Heart.

The Great Heartists and the Belphenian government of the Clear Heart period condemned the actions of Sasuke Volkman and Destructive Prime when Belphenia became a democracy again before the events of the Battle of Shirahoshi where the samurai and pirates, and the Guilds of Belphenia fought with supporters of the late dictator to regain control of ruling Belphenia.

Others reading names included Tadashi Shiiragi, a Lornesse victim who saved Erza Beard’s life killed by Heidi Law on 4/05, Minori Tokushimi, a Meredy victim who was a samurai working for the Knights of the Eraede, and Yuji Menjou, an Astigoth bookwriter who documented the deteriorating world conditions during the Volkman period.

In Remiville’s Ryushime samurai district, Reiko Beard, the nation’s ceremonial leader, and Erza Beard, Prime Minister of Belphenia and her members honored the 160 victims of 4/05 with a moment of silence at the North Garden of Great Heart Castle and tolling bells across the city at 10:24am local time, the moment the Destructive Prime faction executed 190 victims.

Masahide Shiroma, the nation’s Deputy Prime Minister, spoke at the Scarlet Heart Gardens commemoration after one of the Great Heartists used a horagai at 11:41am local time, the moment the Destructive Prime sent the first slave victim from Yalobusha Prefecture to Commonia under Volkman’s order.

“It has been a half-decade since the massacre took place on a rainy, Tuesday day on April 5, 2011. This post-Volkman period shows that Belphenia is no match for domestic terrorism, slavery, torture, and the lie.” Shiroma said at an event only to families of the victims. “From the time being, we will keep remembering and honoring our dear Belphenians who did not ask for death and torture over these 5 years. The scourges of wickedness will not crumble the foundations of the theocratic nation’s spirit of truth, and most of all, not to erase the wondrous gift of life in each Belphenians’ lives as long as they live in a normal, happy life course without the lie and the terrible influences of Sasuke Volkman.”

In the current Moka period, the names of the 160 victims are currently being named on trunk roads in the outskirts of Remiville, the samurai using horagai to honor the victims who lost their lives, national flags flying at half-mast, ringing Great Heart’s Bells of Truth, and Sakura petals falling down onto the streets, canals, rivers, and the freeways of Remiville, Sakura.
